A SiteWorx user password controls access to that panel user. It is separate from an individual email mailbox password and may also affect linked access methods when the server enables them for that user.

Prepare for the change
Use the authorised SiteWorx account and keep an active session while testing the change. Choose a unique generated password and confirm that the user’s recovery email is accessible. Do not send the password in an ordinary support message.
01 Change a SiteWorx user password
- Open Administration > User Accounts and identify the user by its login email and nickname.
- Choose the pencil or edit action where your permissions allow it. Enter and confirm the new password without changing unrelated permissions or domain restrictions.
- Save the change and update the password manager entry for that precise panel user. Avoid overwriting the entry for a mailbox with a similar address.
- Open a separate private browser session and sign in with the updated credentials before closing the original session.
- If the user has authorised SSH access linked to its SiteWorx identity, verify the applicable credential workflow and update approved automation without embedding passwords in public files.
Confirm the intended access works
The new password should allow a fresh login, while the retired password should fail. Confirm the user still sees only the intended domains and management features.
What should I do if I cannot change the SiteWorx password or sign in?
If the master-user control is unavailable or you are locked out, use the official recovery route or contact support after account verification. Do not create an unrestricted replacement user as a workaround. A mailbox login failure requires the mailbox’s own password management screen.
