Use the connection details provided for your OX App Suite service. The correct incoming and outgoing hostnames can differ from your website address, and a successful webmail login does not prove that an email app has the right settings.

01 Check the mailbox first
Sign in through the supplied webmail link and send a test message. Resolve password or service-status problems there before changing the desktop app. Keep the full mailbox address, incoming server, outgoing server, encrypted ports and authentication method available. Do not copy settings from another customer's provider.
- Open the email app's account settings and add an email account. Choose the supported automatic configuration if offered, or use manual setup with the service's documented values.
- For normal multi-device use, select IMAP when available. It keeps mail and folder changes synchronised with the server. POP has different download and retention behaviour and can remove server copies if configured that way.
- Enter the complete email address as the username when the supplied instructions require it. Use the mailbox password or the service's supported authentication method, not your Nabtech client-area password.
- Enable the specified encryption for both incoming and outgoing connections. Outgoing SMTP generally needs authentication as well as the correct server and port.
- Complete setup, then send a message to an unrelated external account and reply. Confirm that the reply appears in both the app and webmail.
- Check Sent, Drafts, Trash and other folder mappings. Send from a second device to confirm messages are not being saved into unrelated local-only folders.
02 Protect local-only messages
Before deleting or recreating an account in an app, export any mail stored only on that device. IMAP synchronisation is not an independent backup, and a deletion can synchronise to every connected device. Verify that important folders exist in webmail before treating an account reset as harmless.
What details help investigate an OX email-app connection problem?
If receiving works but sending fails, review SMTP authentication and encryption separately. For repeated password prompts, check the full username and any authentication restrictions. A certificate warning should be investigated, not bypassed. Send support the app name, connection error, hostname and timestamp with passwords removed.
